Tender Mercies
I thought this article about Church history being done in prison was beautiful and inspiring.
read it here
whether you believe in what they are doing or not, I think its great to see the hope and light that it can bring to anyone, member or not.
I know that through our hardest moments our Heavenly Father is always there with us, guiding us, comforting us with his Spirit, and that the atonement of Christ has made my pains and trails a bearable burden.
Love you all,
Peace

Shake and Bake
I am not a Shake and Bake dinner, I am like a gourmet chicken cordon bleu (that's the classiest thing you can think right now Olive? Great.) that needs, one of those mallets to BAM BAM BAM me out, some stuffing, and lots of other tender lovin cares. No easy in the bag, ready in minutes. What I'm trying to say is, I require time, and patience, and that little something extra. I know that I have a Heavenly Father, and a loving Savior, who are preheating the oven as we speak. We're in this for the long haul, and they will give me all the time, all the love, and all the fun along. I am grateful for this opportunity to live, to love, to blossom. I'm grateful for a husband who has chosen to stand by me for time and all eternity, for my sweet bitty daughter who teaches me patience, for the gospel that has given me a path to follow, for all the many, many comforts I enjoy, but do not necessarily deserve. My blessings abound.
For those of you who don't know, our church has a general conference twice a year (first weekend in April, and October). A gathering all around the worlds to listen to the leaders of our church speak on the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the modern maladies and balms for our days.
Here are a two of my favorite talks:
Elder Richard G. Scott
The Eternal Blessings of Marriage
Jean A. Stevens
Become as a Little Child
You can read, watch, listen to all of conference here .
Loves,
Peacey,
O.

Greaaaaaat Iady!
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someones garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."
-Marjorie Pay Hinckley
This lovely quote is from a very great women. She showed the world that you can be steadfast and immovable and abounding in love for those around you. That quite actions, and loyalty can make a difference in the world. She was a beautiful mother to five, a dedicated homemaker, and avid learner, and the wife of our dear prophet Gordon B. Hinckley.
She was feisty, strong willed, and could hit a deadpan joke with the best of 'em. She was, and is, an example to all of us striving to be real women.
"That we might live together for as long as the Lord wills and that when the time comes for us to move on, that we might go together or very close together, without one lingering a long time after the other. We've lived together for a long time. I hope we'll continue to move on together."

mas o menos?
I can't decide if this has been a good week, or a bad week....here's a list to try and sort things out.
Good (put your best foot forward I always say) (no, I never say this actually :( )
1) I finally was able to get a library card, Saints alive! That makes it a great week already.
2) I went to this amazing whole foods artisan market we have called SunTerra and got yumminess including:
Amazing glass bottled chocolate milk, fresh carrot juice, a brilliantly executed white chocolate raspberry square, yadayada
3) Got some visiting teaching done!
4) Found out about this whoot!
5) Found out we were getting a fantabulous tax return...finally I can get some furniture for our place.
and there could be more, but we move on to....the Bad.
1) I maimed a squirrel while driving and could see him flailing in the road after; very, very heartbreaking. Plus I killed a crow last week; my car is now a death machine and I just keep praying now every time I get in.
2) I ate (singlehandedly) almost all that yummy crap I bought at SunTerra already, so I'm a porker.
3) Bebe V is sick, she barks like a dog because she's all congested.
4) We were supposed to have a play date today but can't go because V is sick.
5) Its FLIPPIN' snowed and rained all week here!!!!!
6) I have been impaired from cleaning this week and I know have half a sink that is growing a third grade science project, no clean clothes for anyone, and a burgeoning threat to not even care.
7) A very serious lingerie accident that almost cost B his eye...serious.
I will struggle to remain positive, but I see the barometer swaying towards the downside a little. Boo, going to take care of cute sick baby and read lovely library books in snow town...hopefully without finishing off the chocolate milk.
