I just wanted everyone to know that I love my Heavenly Parents, and my brother Jesus Christ.
It's the least cool thing to say out in public (it seems like), but if people can go around talking about the drugs they do, the drunken deboturies, and any other various examples of lack of self respect; well then, I should be able to talk about my beliefs, that lift me higher, without feeling like I am going to offend someone.
To my fellow believers out there and to those who are not, the times they are a changin'. Birds, fish, cows, and all sorts of animals dropping dead everywhere, more natural disasters than ever, wars and rumors of wars (it feels like an M. Night Shyamalan movie). Today does not seem like a day to say "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em," but I tell you that it is. Because I know that the Lord has assured me that WE will win. That light will vanquish the dark, and a new day will dawn. So to those on the other side, feel free to apply said adage to yourselves. You will not win, so you might as well join us.
I know that if I follow the Lord's plan for me that I will be lead safely down the path that is meant just for me. He loves me, he knows me by name, and he has called me to do his work here on earth. The same goes for each and everyone one of you. I want all of you to know that I love you too, whether we've ever met, or not, you are my brothers and sisters. I am not some crazy Bible girl, though I am a girl crazy about the Bible. I am just trying to live a life that will make me and those around me happy and this is the best way that I have found to do that. If you have any questions, let me know.
So I'll leave you with this diddy:
Know that I am not perfect, but I am trying dang hard to get there :)

Jelllllo!!!
Did you know that I looooooove Jennifer Lopez,
also know as J Lo, Jenny from the block, Mrs Marc Anthony.
I told everyone in high school (much to my bff Megan's dismay) that I thought I looked liked aforementioned honey goddess. My booty backed me up.
When I met Brandon I told him that I just wanted him to make enough money so that I could be J Lo. I guess I was slightly kidding. He was slightly in awe, I'm sure, but had a few misgivings as to how I was going to get from a thrift store clothes-crazy haired-bag lady feel thing going on to Perfection. I told him not to worry, the latina in me would find a way. Did I mention my bum.
I saw her on Ellen today; still rockin' it. She lifts my spirits and reminds me why I get up in the morning. My friends, aren't you glad that you are around to watch my beautiful transformation.

New Start
Yellow folks!
I know you missed me...people have told me. Of course, they were all members of my family. But they already get to hear what I have to say frequently, so that must mean that those who do not frequent my inner sanctum must really miss me.
I was going to try and make this more concise (my blog writing style), you know, as a fresh start new years resolution type thing, but it seems that's already out the door.
FYI: I was gone so long because baby V pulled my laptop off a stool and sent it to robot heaven. I decided not to replace it right away and had a very lovely technology respite.
I hear lots of people saying it, but I too feel that 2011 is going to be an exciting year. I'm really looking forward to it. My big goal of the year is to enjoy what I have. Taking special care with my home and family. Imperfection means only that we're growing and learning, and hopefully loving. I've found that in too many instances I don't appreciate something until it changes; well, I repent! Here's to the moment!
All my love,
O.

Things About Winter
So its winter here in Alberta (again) {{sigh}}
It has already kind of snow/frosted in the morning, and it was 3 deg C yesterday, which is 37.4 deg F.
That deserves some swear words.
So here are a few observations we've made in the last couple of weeks about winter:
1) Three weeks ago I woke up and it was dark and heavy like a blanket outside. I snuggled in and thought to myself "ah, I'm kind of ready for winter, I can do this,"
2) Then the thought that followed immediately: "I could do winter for 3 or 4 months, not the next 8 or 9."
3) 3deg is freakin' cold now, wait till its -25deg out.
4) Went to the mall yesterday and a) blew smoke while putting the stroller away, and b) got into the car after being outside for no more than 5 min and having painfully cold ears.
Suck.
And the quote of the day.....
Brandon: Burrrr it's so cold!
Olivia: It's only September; why do we live here!!!!
Brandon: But it's never this cold in September here!
Olivia: Well it IS this year!
Boo.

BTW
By the way....if you haven't seen me in a while, I now look like this:
Actually that was about a month ago, so its longer now.
I donated it to HERE.
This is my second time shaving my head, so this time it was easy peesy. I did it sitting on the beach at the lake, and I let the niecies and nephews each cut off a pigtail, and then my nephew Braedon shaved it. I'm really excited to have fun with lots of different styles. Plus Lady V and I kind of get to grow it together!

Livin La VIDA Loca
Today is sweetpea's birthday! One year ago today at 7:44 am, Vida Sabelle Lyons started a brand new adventure in our little family. She is our greatest gift, and we think she is the absolute bomb. So today I pay tribute to Lady V.
Hello Dear Ones
So I have been a very bad bloggity blogger.
I've been gone on vacation for msot of the summer, and I actually tried to post last week, but the pictures were being so lame, I got so mad I started slamming on the computer and then went to my anger managment classes instead. I shall prevail this week!
We have been very lucky to have had such a wonderful summer spending time with family. We went to Lake Cocolalla where the Lyons' families reside for the summer and did just about whatever we felt like! Yummy.
Vida helping us get to the lake, Kake and V sharing an afternoon snack, view from the beach,
and the lake in all it's glory. The hardcore going for a swim.
Then Vida and I were lucky enough to go visit my family in California! Yea, I missed them, but Vida was a little hesitant to jump right in to the beach life. She wouldn't let my dad even look at her for at least four days.
Well at least she liked Darla ;)
She ended up doing well with everyone and loved going in the pool at Grandma and Grandpa's, having breakfast in bed with Grandmama, seeing the ocean! and eating mexican food.Brandon and I are truly blessed to have such great families and we know that families can be together forever and so its a pretty cool thing that we love hanging out with ours.
